The Portland Arms, Cambridge
Drunk With A Pen proudly presents Songs & Stories: an evening of music and poetry at the Portland Arms, Cambridge . Featuring music from Hollie Rogers and Chris Fox.
KING SIZE SLIM is one of the most exciting and innovative blues performers in the country. He brings elements of reggae and funk to the blues resonator, creating a unique and distinctive sound. An energetic and exciting live performer, he is the complete showman. It is an absolute honour to bring the King Size Slim sound to Cambridge Town.
CAMISAYO are an up and coming blues, folk and roots band from Cambridge. With a mix of carefully chosen covers and skilfully written originals, they have been spreading their foot-tapping sound across East Anglia.
Joseph J Clark will perform poems new and old: established classics from the Drunk With A Pen collection, plus (with any luck) new material which isn't about drink - but might still drive you to it.
“Clark bravely tackles the subject of alcoholism; not just his personal connections to this, but also in reference to community and wider society. I found these poems to be the most engaging of the evening. They were performed with poignancy and in moving detail, doing the spoken word genre proud by saying the unsaid.”Voice Mag
